Sounds of Dream
“Early to bed and early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy, and wise.”
Really? For quite many days I’ve been tardy in hitting the bed, usually 2-3 before sunrise, but surprisingly arousing pretty early, usually 10 after sunrise. I know it isn’t so early, but for a person, who since childhood has been accustomed to be lost in the arms of Morpheus for atleast 10 hours per day, who keeps her eyes shut while the daily chores of the house are over, who is never able to bid a goodbye to her papa for she still slumbers; now gets to have breakfast with him. Wonderful! Not really.
The dreams that I get these days or atleast those which I could remember are totally weird. Initially, it used to be a huge, whopping girl of my class bugging me, haunting me. I haven’t known the girl much, but freakishly, I’ve developed a sort of terror regarding her. And for so many days, I’ve had scary conventions with her during the night hours. My friends had a great laugh listening to a couple of them.
Here is something recent, yesterday or day before, I was in this external galaxy, miles away from Milky Way, fighting some aliens, far more hideous than the naked Cutie Pie. All people around were having those magnificient devices which emit enormous amount of colossal light kinda thing, think about laser guns if you still don’t get the picture. There was this mammoth man (don’t know what to call) pitted against me and both our guns produced rhythmic sounds with both shooting alternatively.
I importunately shot at him but nothing happened to him. He was standing like a Trojan horse. I stopped shooting but still the metrical sound persisted. I was kinda stumped and shouted for help. He neared me but that rhythmic sound didn’t stop…
It persisted….
It persisted….
It persisted….
Suddenly I woke up and still the sound persisted…..
Moron, it is the beats of “Bleed it Out” ringing on my phone near the pillow, as a wake-up call. I was just so terrified that I senselessly would have hit the dressing mirror with it, but on time I realized, my phone’s just back after repair, have mercy.
Burning In Hell
“Maybe this world is some other planet’s hell.”
-Aldous Huxley
Today in the blistering, sweltering, flaming, roasting, scorching, intenser fervor of the vicious Sun, while I was loitering around in the central district of Delhi with a big circle with radial roads spreading in all directions (more like spokes on a wheel), Connaught Place if you still couldn’t guess it, I read this line in some showroom; perhaps Nike, Spykar, Levi’s, Rbk, Adidas, Van Heusen, Wills, Lee, Gas, Pepe…….all showrooms I visited, don’t know where I read. It did clasp my attention for I wished to set my foot on that planet. However, no regrets with life, but can someone help this heat. Man, its unbearable. Moment you step out of the car, you seem to have entered real hell.
I am barely dealing with the intense heat that seems to envelope me in a choking, thought amputating fog of blistered brain cells and sweat that seems to pour from every inch of my body. The winds instead of providing a cooling reprieve, feel like a blow dryer gusting against skin. Breezes that hit the face parch the lips and scorch my eyes and I have to continually blink to keep my contacts from shriveling up. The intensity of the heat tires the body and slows the brain and I become soporific unable to keep my eyes open.
What lovely lines!
Order of the Future
Okay, so intense studies on the verge of embarkation, and here I get my agenda to be followed for the next 2 years, (to be modified during school days.)
8:00 am – Jump out of the bed, out of those sweet and bitter dreams.
8:00 – 8:15 am – Milk/tea/coffee + Brush etc. (No idea what that “etc” includes.)
8:15 – 11:15 am – Do learning, conceptualizing work. (Too early with respect to my study time.)
11:15 – 12:00 pm – Breakfast + Bath (optional) Why would have sir made this optional? Who knows!
12:00 – 3:00 pm – Study & solve the questions on the topic done in the morning. Yeah, thats quite possible, I think I’d be able to manage that.
3:00 – 6:00 pm – Lunch + sleep (I’d better put this time during night, I just don’t get sleep when I can see the Sun before it can see me.)
6:00 – 6:30 pm – Tea + supper + recreation (Yeah, time for my PC and iPod.)
6:30 – 9:45 pm – More study, hmm.
9:45 – 10:45 pm – Dinner + Recreation (Okay since I don’t take more than 10 minutes to dine, this time slot is again devoted to my PC and iPod.)
10:45 – 3:00 am – Study, ZzzZzzZzz.
3:00 – 8:00 am – Doze off.
The day I start considering this schedule, put it into action, there would be nothing I would regard as beyond my capabilites.
Panoramic Reality
“World’s biggest digital photo” records tend to last for all of a weekend, but we’ll take the folks behind this one at their word and happily accept that their 13-gigapixel aerial view of Harlem is the world’s largest stitched panoramic image. Artist Gerard Maynard and software developer Kolor worked together to create the image, which at first glance looks like an ordinary and not all that inspired view of brownstones and parks. The magic comes when you click the “magnify” button. And keep clicking. There seems to be no limit to how close you can zoom in, to the point where you realize the person in that apartment on the fourth floor really needs to…..whatever. Here. Some screenshots. The first ones the initial view, without any magnification. The second is a zoomed-in view at a point. Notice that banner/poster, isn’t it legible?

A Day in Rest
…and a day to write a post.
In my head I hear a humming:
Summer, summer summer’s coming.
Soon we’re going on vacation
But there is a complication…
Yeah, the savagery has ended, summer vacations have kicked off. But the complication still bugs my mind. Leaving behind the botheration for sometime, I went out to some good places, ate good food, met good people, and shopped for whole lot of good stuff. My shopping seems to have no end, yet now I’ll try not to go out with anyone. Coz whenever I go out, it become simply too hard for me to return empty handed. Since I didn’t study anything yesterday, now I have to bury my nose in the module.
