Dig the Truth
If you have been watching the news today, then you’ll certainly be aware of the shocking incident in which skeletons of about of 20 children were discovered. Its so gloomy to perceive such a dismal picture when skeletons of innocent children is being dug out and the impotent parents of such children writhing & crying in pain. These children went missing months ago, their parent even reported to the police, but the indolent police authority didn’t take it seriously, and the result is before everyone. Talking about the accused, how can a person be so inhuman, so cruel, so vicious, so barbarous, (and the adjectives don’t end) that he can wantonly bump off lives of so many innocent children. The person is certainly abnormal. I also saw an interview of a psychiatrist, and according to him, such people feel satisfied by torturing other people (children in this case). The person suffers from perversions where he is pleased on performing such acts. The whole case is suspected to be one of sexual abuse or organ trade. Whatever it maybe, but such people need to be prevented from the society as this is not at all healthy for the society.
Now in an attempt to stay away from such a desolate condition of Delhi, we’re going to Jaipur tomorrow. Celebrating New Year and mom and dad’s wedding anniversary in a Five Star Hotel, with just very close relatives around, what better can it be. So Happy New Year to all!
What a Beautiful Day!
So yesterday I spent my day at my nani’s place. I was so persistent that I won’t go as I wanted to study, but mom some way or the other braces me to accompany her. Now I am not ready to go out of station for the celebrations of the new year and mom & dad’s wedding anniversary (pre-boards starting from 3rd yaar), but I know, finally I’ll have to pack my bags & go hand in hand with my family.
So I was talking about my visit to nani’s place yesterday. Well it wasn’t just me, we were around 10 cousins (including the “foreign returned” cousins), all having a blast throughout the day. For an hour I went to a solitary room as I wished to solve some sample papers, and as I came back, what I saw was such a drolly scene. You could have actually witnessed a convention of whizkids from the world over going on there. The room was brimming with gadgets of all sorts. I seriously did count the number of gadgets being used at that moment. You make a guess, how many gadgets could 10 lads operate? I’ll tell you, 27 devices. Now that consisted of 3 laptops, 1 desktop, 2 video iPods, 1 Nano, 1 Shuffle, 3 digicams, 1 handycam, 2 mp4 players, 1 Play station, 1 television, 1 Gameboy, 1 PSP and yeah 9 cellphones. Now how could I keep my hands off the fun, I too joined bringing out 2 of my gadgets. Mom & everyone could just laugh at us.
And yes, MTNL is making an attempt to display some mercy on all its Broadband users. In yesterday’s newspaper it advertised about its New Year gift to upgrade all its existing Triband users with 2 mbps speed. I was quite happy until I read the last line – ‘Conditions apply : Not applicable for Unlimited plans’. Man, “MTNL ko mujhse kya dushmani hai?” It won’t be applicable for my plan. But I can’t change my plan coz then I won’t be able to do with mere 1gb free download. This month I’ve really exceeded the downloading limit by 100mbs (5 days still left, don’t forget). I feel there has been some major problem in tracking the downloads this month as it shows my night mbs used as just 55, inspite of using a much more. I’ll carry on with it for another month, and see if it works fine, else I will have to find a way out.
Music for your Ears
Who says work & play cannot be mixed together? Sometimes simple diversions like a little music can improve one’s concentration. So then, here are three gadgets that will help you create a cocoon of music to shield you from the noise and bustle of the office and get on to your work with speed.
Noise Cancelling headphones
Cut out the drone of constantly ringing phones & incessant conversations with a pair of noise cancelling headphones like the Bose QuiteComfort 2. It is extremely comfortable on your ears and offers excellent music quality. The only drawback is the price (Rs. 14,900) – for that much you could probably buy 10 regular headphones.
Christmas Soiree
So this is my first mid-night post, mainly coz I’m not in a mood to sleep right now, and secondly I wanna save my mbs (unlimited night downloading service.) Christmas eve – what better than a party, and a party – what’s it without a DJ. Last few days of the year, everyones’ in a party-mood, and out on the dance floor without any shilly-shallies. After hitting the floor for about 3-4 hours, one’s ought to be tired, but I’m still in full vigor to dance till the dawn. The Christmas bash was so much fun. Anyways, had to be back home. Mom’s getting angry, so will have to end the post here. Merry Christmas to everyone.
